Ingredients:
- 4 parts of Bonnie Prince Whisky
- 2 parts of Drambuie
- 1 part of freshly squeezed lime juice
- Lemon skin for garnish
Recipe:
- Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake vigorously.
- Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a lemon skin.
Bonnie Prince Charlie is very well known for his influence in the spirits industry. He even has it own cocktail included in 1930’s Savoy Cocktail Book by Harry Craddock. The „Charles Cocktail” is described there as „the only known authentic Jacobite Cocktail”. In the original recipe it do not include a dash of whisky, which of course we have changed in our version, as we do not imagine having a drink in the name of Prince Charlie without the Scottish national drink. Here our version of this classic cocktail.
